Patrick Pentland, 49 today, is a member of the Canadian rock band Sloan. All four members of Sloan write, produce, and sing their own songs. Bridget St John (born Bridget Hobbs from South London), 72 is a British singer and songwriter, best known for the three albums she recorded between 1969 and 1972 for John Peel's Dandelion label. Peel produced her debut album Ask Me No Questions. She also recorded a large number of BBC Radio and Peel sessions and toured regularly on the UK college and festival circuit.

Neil Buchanan, born in Aintree, Lancashire, 57 is an English television presenter and musician best known for his work on the CITV programme Art Attack, a television programme that he presented during its run from 1990 to 2007. He has also presented Finders Keepers (1991–1996), It's a Mystery (1996–2000), and also produced and appeared in ZZZap! as Smart Arty (1993–1998). Mark Harle, 35 today, born in Glasgow, Scotland but now based in Newcastle upon Tyne was a singer with the British boy band, V. He is the son of the Radio Newcastle presenter, Jon Harle, and his wife Kim Harle. Before his career with V, Harle was a drummer, and has since returned to these roots. He joined North East England indie rock/rock band, Little Comets until 2011, when he left the band.
Paul Stephen Thompson, 61 today, known as Porl Thompson is an English musician best known for his work with The Cure. Thompson is the oldest of four children; he has two brothers and one sister. Craig Scanlon, 58, is a British guitarist, best known as a member of The Fall between 1979 and 1995. During this period he co-wrote over 120 of the group's songs; Mark E. Smith excepted, this tally is unmatched by any other musician to have passed through the group. Scanlon joined the band following the departure of previous guitarist Martin Bramah. He and guitarist Marc Riley had previously played together in The Sirens before Riley joined the Fall.
Phil Cunningham, 44, born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, is a British guitarist who is a member of the bands New Order, Marion and Bad Lieutenant. Cunningham is a member of the Britpop group Marion who formed in Macclesfield in 1993. Along with singer Jaime Harding and fellow guitarist Tony Grantham, Cunningham has writing credits for all of the bands songs.

Nick McCarthy (born Nicholas John McCarthy), 44 today is an English musician. He is the guitarist, backing/lead vocalist, and keyboardist of the Glasgow based band Franz Ferdinand as well as a member of the band Box Codax. Nick McCarthy was born in Blackpool, England and grew up in Vagen near Munich, Bavaria, Germany. He was trained classically as a pianist and double bassist at the Munich Conservatory.

David Knopfler (born in Glasgow), 66, is a British singer-songwriter, rhythm guitarist, pianist and cofounder of the critically acclaimed rock band Dire Straits. Knopfler spent three years in Dire Straits. After quitting the band, he embarked upon a solo career as a recording artist, releasing a respectable number of albums over the years. Knopfler initially created smaller record labels, publishing companies and indie labels.
Michael Leslie 'Mick' Jones (born in Portsmouth, Hampshire), 74, is an English guitarist, songwriter and record producer best known as the founding member of the rock band Foreigner. Prior to Foreigner, he was in the band Spooky Tooth. He began his professional music career in the early 1960s as a member of the band Nero and the Gladiators, who scored two minor British hit singles in 1961.
